When cleaning your microwave, using the latest microfibre cleaning cloth will get a full clean with no soaps or detergents. Microfibre cleaning cloths are a fairly new type of fiber.
Microfibers are synthetic fibers that are less then one denier. They are usually made from polyester and polyamides, and sometimes a combination of both. These tiny fibers are picked for many different types of characteristics including:
Because of the cleaning properties of microfiber they are sought after for cleaning microwave ovens. The microwave oven gets dirty no matter how much you clean it. The use of soaps and detergents can cause buildup that can permeate foods and drinks. The microfibre cleaning cloths need no soaps or detergents to work.
Some simple rules of thumb to keep in mind when using microfiber; they work well if damp, but not wet. They work best if heated but not hot. Tests performed on the fibers, microfibre cloths used to clean the microwave reduces the bacteria levels by 99%. A staggering find and no soap or detergents were used.
Just wet the towel and squeeze out the excess water. Place the damp cloth in the center of the microwave turntable. Run the microwave for about 30 seconds, on high depending on the wattage of your microwave. The cloth should produce enough moisture to steam the inside of the oven.
After the initial 30 seconds, leave the cloth for 5 minutes, letting the steam do the work. Don’t open the oven. After 5 minutes is up, wipe down the now steamed interior with the still damp cloth. There you have it; a simple way to keep your microwave clean with microfibre cloths.
